Participants in this event will have the opportunity to make their “quest to be the best” make a difference in the lives of local families fighting pediatric cancer by creating a fundraising page through Crowdrise (link: https://www.crowdrise.com/PUNT). Any team that registers a fundraising page and raises a minimum of $50 for the cause will receive a custom “2017 Kan Jam World Championship” cap courtesy of New Era to commemorate their play and positive impact. The top fundraiser will received a Buffalo Bills themed prize package which includes two tickets to the Buffalo Bills home opener on September 10.

“Kan Jam is excited to host the 27th annual Kan Jam World Championship Tournament which welcomes competitive Kan Jam teams from the United States, Canada and Europe,” said Gregg Turkovich, Chief Operating Officer of Kan Jam LLC. “We are also excited that within the context of this event, there will be the opportunity to support a terrific organization that does so much to ease the burden of local families as they face the unthinkable trial of a pediatric cancer diagnosis.”

In addition to the P.U.N.T. Foundation, the Kan Jam World Championship event also will also benefit: the Food Bank of WNY, Buffalo RACIN, #LipsitzStrong, and the North Tonawanda Police Athletic League

“We are grateful for the chance to be a partner with Kan Jam to harness people’s love for this game as a unique platform to raise funds for the programs of the P.U.N.T. Foundation through CrowdRise,” said Brian Moorman, founder of the P.U.N.T. Foundation and longtime former punter of the Buffalo Bills. “It is a fun and memorable way for people to help us keep the organization’s mission strong.” The P.U.N.T. Foundation is a 501(c) (3) public charity that provides 6 distinct programs that serve pediatric oncology patients being treated at both Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
